WHY I JOINED DELTA ZETA

ERICA

"During recruitment, I met countless amazing girls of all different backgrounds, interests, and letters. The schedule for recruitment events allotted a time slot for Potential New Members to simply have a break and collect themselves, but even in that time, I worried about whether or not the girls from the chapters could see how nervous I was. For me, my break time came when I got to be in the Delta Zeta room interacting with the incredible girls who I desperately hoped could be my future sisters. I didn't have to try so hard with them. I was worried about them finding out that I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers and can only name all the members of One Directions on a good day. I wanted to share the things about myself that make me who I am because I knew that they were all just as unique as I am. I recognized that through the Delta Zeta sisterhood, everyone could be different, yet remain united in the strongest way."

FORAM

"I knew I wanted to join a sorority because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. I joined Delta Zeta to meet women who shared similar interests and values as me. When I was going through recruitment I absolutely loved Delta Zeta's philanthropy, Speech and Hearing. As stated in the Delta Zeta creed, "To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine," taught me to share my kindness, knowledge, and time. It made me realize that one action of kindness can change a person's life. A year later, I am so glad I joined Delta Zeta. It has changed my life in so many ways, and I am grateful I got a chance to make lifelong friendships with my sisters."
