IOTA XI CHAPTER

FOLLOW OUR CHAPTER:

Delta Zeta - Iota Xi was formed on March 2nd, 1968 at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. The members of Iota Xi take pride in our impressive academic achievements, our philanthropic values, and our strong sense of sisterhood.

Academic excellence is something Delta Zeta is well-known for. Out of the last 9 semesters, our chapter has had the highest average GPA of UMSL Greek Life for 8 of them.

Philanthropy is also a value of the ladies of Delta Zeta. We live by the Delta Zeta creed, which states "give graciously of what is mine." Each active member completes at least 20 hours of volunteer work each semester.  We are constantly working to improve our community as well as leave a positive impact in the lives of others.

Our sisterhood and social events are upheld by the many ways we interact both within the sorority and with other UMSL organizations. We hold multiple sisterhood events per month in order to improve friendships within our sorority and organize mixers with other sororites and fraternities on campus.

Iota Xi is also known for the level of involvement of our alumnae post-graduation. The current Delta Zeta National President, Diane M. Stecher, is an Iota Xi. So are the Delta Zeta Foundation Trustee, Jane Spurgeon, and the National HQ Director of Development, Chris Kern.
